Natalie Stephens
Clarkson decided to embark on a career in education in 1995,
after earning her B.A. in English/Journalism from The
University of Texas at Austin. From there she moved to
southern California, where she earned a M.Ed. at Pepperdine
University with an emphasis in second language acquisition.
Natalie brings a worldly perspective to her status as a
writer-educator, having been exposed in her adult life to a
broad cultural continuum ranging from rural Scotland to urban
inner-city Los Angeles. In addition to her full-time
occupation as an 8th grade talented and gifted teacher in the
Plano, Texas Independent School District, Natalie also manages
a household which consists of her low-maintenance pets and
high-maintenance husband/biographer. She enjoys spinning,
tennis, softball, yoga, and reading in her free time.
