Sara Byrd

Sara got her BS degree from Louisiana Tech University in 1979, MS in 84, both in Early Childhood Education. The 98-99 school year was spent on sabbatical while she completed course work for elementary and reading certification and Plus 30. Sara has experience in pre-K, kindergarten, and 1st grade. She will return to Timmons Elementary in Shreveport, LA this year (where she has spent the last 17 years of her teaching career!) to teach Reading/Language Arts to First Graders. 

Sara has been married 14 years to Tim, who is a high school science teacher. They have two boys, Brian (10) and Cameron (7). Sara's hobbies include reading, cooking, sewing, and traveling with her family.
